Inaugural edition of WAVES Bazaar sets a new benchmark with record-breaking business across the entertainment sector
The first edition of WAVES Bazaar wrapped up on Saturday, recording transactions exceeding ₹800 crore over three days. Organized under the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), the event brought together stakeholders from the global film, music, radio, VFX, and animation industries, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
The buyer-seller market was a standout success, contributing over ₹500 crore in revenue through 3,000+ B2B meetings. Deal-making is still in progress, and the total valuation is expected to exceed ₹1,000 crore in the coming days.
Emerging creators also gained visibility, pitching their intellectual properties (IPs) to a global network of collaborators, spurring new partnerships and interest from international markets.

In a first-of-its-kind Indo-New Zealand partnership, the Film India Screen Collective and Screen Canterbury NZ proposed launching the first Indian film festival in New Zealand. Meanwhile, Only Much Louder (OML) CEO Tushar Kumar and Gazprom Media CEO Alexander Zharov initiated talks for an India-Russia MoU to co-produce cross-cultural comedy and music shows.
Streaming giant Prime Video unveiled a multi-year global content partnership with South Korea’s CJ ENM, bringing premium Korean content to over 240 countries with 28 subtitle languages and 11 dubbing options.
Additionally, the film “Devi Chowdhurani” was announced as India’s first official co-production with the UK. A pre-teaser of the film, supported by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, was revealed during the event.
