Vaishnav Krishnakumar, an 18-year-old Kerala-origin student and UAE Golden Visa holder, passed away due to cardiac arrest while celebrating Diwali at Dubai International Academic City. Vaishnav, a first-year BBA Marketing student at Middlesex University Dubai, collapsed on Tuesday and was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared “brought dead due to cardiac arrest, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.

Vaishnav had no known heart conditions, and the Dubai Police Forensic Department is conducting further investigations. His family is arranging for his body to be transported to Kerala for final rites. “We still don’t have a clear picture of exactly what happened,” said his uncle Nitish, a Dubai resident. Relatives from the family’s native village, Karazhma in Chennithala, Alappuzha, recalled that Vaishnav and his sister were born and raised in Dubai, with their father Krishnakumar having worked there for over 20 years.
