Youth Rescued After Being Trapped Under Debris in Ahmedabad

A dramatic rescue operation in Ahmedabad saved the life of a 22-year-old man trapped under debris during a demolition.

The incident occurred at around 10:53 am, as the demolition process took an unexpected turn, leaving Jalabhai pinned under the rubble. He is a resident of Madhya Pradesh, reported by gujaratsamachar.com

The Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Service Rescue team acted swiftly to extricate the trapped youth and ensure his safety.

Upon receiving the distress call, the Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Service Rescue team rushed to the site with specialized rescue equipment. The team, using tools such as cutters, basket stretchers, rescue ropes, and a halligan tool, carried out an extensive and precise operation. After considerable effort, they successfully freed Jalabhai, who was miraculously found alive despite being trapped under the debris for an undisclosed period.

Jalabhai was immediately transported to Civil Hospital by a 108 ambulance for medical treatment and further examination. Sagarbhai, an engineer present at the site, confirmed that no other individuals were trapped, providing some relief to those at the scene.

The operation was carried out with the help of 14 fire and rescue vehicles and three ambulances, demonstrating quick coordination and effectiveness.

The dramatic rescue saw the deployment of 14 fire and rescue vehicles, alongside three ambulances, in a well-coordinated response that ensured Jalabhai’s safe rescue. The prompt and efficient actions of the emergency services prevented what could have been a tragic incident.

The authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident and whether there were any safety lapses during the demolition work.
