Travel vlogger arrested on espionage charges had an extensive international itinerary, including a recent trip to Pakistan
Jyoti Malhotra, the Indian YouTuber and travel influencer arrested for alleged espionage activities linked to Pakistan, visited four countries in just five months this year. Crucially, her first trip to Pakistan came just 17 days after she reportedly met a man named Danish, raising suspicion around her frequent international travel, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
Malhotra’s travel timeline shows visits to Dubai, Nepal, Kashmir, Kerala, and Indonesia in early 2025, before and after her controversial visit to Pakistan.
Data from her Facebook page, Travel with Joe, reveals a highly active itinerary. In January 2025 alone, she travelled to Dubai, Kathmandu, and Kashmir, followed by a visit to Kerala in February, Pakistan in March, and Indonesia in May for a two-week trip.
Authorities note that she had begun publicly documenting her journeys since February 2023, often posting updates from sensitive regions.
Her past travel history includes multiple trips to Kashmir, including Pangong Lake in Leh (June 2023), Nepal (Dec 2024), and frequent visits to Bangladesh (Feb and March 2024). Notably, on March 30, 2024, she visited the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi — and on April 17, she entered Pakistan for the first time.
In the months that followed, Malhotra continued her travels to China (June 2024), with subsequent trips to Kashmir, Bangladesh, Bhutan (August 2024), Kathmandu (September 2024), and finally Kailash Mansarovar in China (November 2024).
Her pattern of travel, particularly to geopolitically sensitive regions, is under close scrutiny as investigators dig deeper into the espionage allegations against her.
