As per reports from health agencies, 54,38,46,290 vaccine doses have been administered through 61,35,193 sessions.

There has been active caseload of 3,85,336, which constitutes 20 per cent active cases i.e. only 1 of the country’s total positive cases.
The country has reported 36,083daily new cases in the last 24 hours, while number of recovered patients stood at 37,927patients.
India’s recovery rate stands at 97.46 per cent. Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,13,76,015 people have already recovered from Covid-19.
The Union, State and Union Territory governments have enhanced testing capacity. As per reports, weekly positivity rate currently stands at 2 per cent and the daily positivity rate at 1.88 per cent on Monday (August 16, 2021). Daily positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for last 20 days and below 5 per cent for 69 consecutive days now.
