Modi bats for Khadi in Berlin, seeks Indian Diaspora’s support for ‘Vocal for Local’

Amid the roars of “2024: Modi once more” the Indian Prime Minister made a fervent appeal to the Indians to use Khadi and promote local products

Modi advocated for Khadi in Berlin, and sought Indian Diaspora’s support for ‘Vocal for Local’ and Khadi while addressing a gathering of non-resident-Indians (NRIs) during his visit to the country.

According to IANS, PM Modi called for the diaspora’s support for ‘Vocal for Local’ and Khadi, which was warmly received by the Indian community.

Amid the roars of “2024: Modi once more” the Indian Prime Minister made a fervent appeal to the Indians to use Khadi and promote local products.

IANS quoted Dr Pravin Patil, a resident of Munich. “We gift our German friends Khadi and make sure that the awareness increases as well as demands,”he said and added how Khadi demand has increased manifold in Germany over all these years.

PM Modi is on a three-day visit to three European nations. His interaction with the members of the Indian community evoked jubilant reactions in Germany where he took part in the 6th Inter-Governmental Consultations with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz

The report also cited Hardik Deora, a member of the Indian community in Berlin. He “…felt overwhelmed after hearing Prime Minister Modi’s speech and we are happy to extend our support to our Prime Minister’s concept of Vocal for Local”, said Hardik Deora, a member of the Indian community in Berlin.
