The General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Champak Rai, said on April 6 said that a Jalabhishek of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will be done with water from 155 countries, reported UNI.
Talking to the media, at Karsevakpuram of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad headquarters at Ayodhya, Rai said that a special puja with water from 155 countries would be performed at the Ram temple on April 23.
Water and soil from all the rivers of India had been collected on the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he laid the foundation stone of the Ram temple on August 5, 2020. Rai said Dr Vijay Jolly, former MLA of Delhi, got the idea for a puja at the Ram temple by collecting water from all the rivers and oceans of the world. He said that it was a challenging task which Dr Vijay Jolly had accomplished.

Rai said that the day had come when people from many countries will gather on April 23 on the Birla Dharamshala ground and offer prayers. “Jalabhishek will be done around the temple with water from rivers and seas of 155 countries. After that there will be a nonpolitical programme with saints in the auditorium of Maniramdas Cantonment,” he said.
Programme coordinator Dr Vijay said that the water of rivers and seas of 155 countries across seven continents had been collected by Non-Resident Indians.
Rai also said that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had been invited specially for the occasion along with diplomats of many countries and overseas Indian leaders of more than 20 countries of the world.
