Narendra Pathak appointed to In Home Supportive Services Advisory Board

Narendra Pathak of Sunnyvale, California was appointed to Public Authority For In-Home Supportive Services Advisory Board by the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors.

Narendra Pathak was sworn into office June 14, 2021. A native of Karamsad, Gujarat, he has a B.A. in Economics and Law Degrees in Labor Laws and Criminal Laws. Pathak had a brain stroke on July 5, 2019 and is physically disabled, reported India Post News Service.

There are an estimated 1.3 billion people living with disabilities worldwide. Pathak will advise on existing and potential programs and policies and will advise about community development, and other issues. The 11 Commissioners, acts as an advisory body to the County, Board Of Supervisors on studies, reviews, evaluates, and makes recommendations to the Public Authority Governing Body and the Public Authority Executive Director relative to matters affecting persons receiving In-Home Supportive Services in the County.

Pathak has served on the City of Sunnyvale’s Board of Library Trustees, Commissioner, Housing and Human Services Commission. He has served on the City of Sunnyvale’s Board member on General Plan Consolidation Advisory Board, Advisory Board member on Below Market Rate Housing Program

Input for the development of the Federal and State disabilities. Pathak has been active in the Santa Clara County’s Advisory Board member, In Home Supportive Services, (IHSS) Commissioner, Human Rights Commission, Commissioner, Council on Equal Employment Opportunities, Advisory Board member, Santa Clara Family Health Plan.

Pathak has served on the City of Sunnyvale’s Board of Library Trustees, Commissioner, Housing and Human Services Commission. He has served on the City of Sunnyvale’s Board member on General Plan Consolidation Advisory Board, Advisory Board member on Below Market Rate Housing Program.

His community activities include as Board of Trustees, Devotional Association of Sitaram, Co-Coordinator of California Gujarat Sister State Association, India Heritage Research Foundation, Bay Area Gujarati Samaj, India Cultural Association of Bay Area and Brahamin Samaj of USA. He has also served as Treasurer, Charitable Care Foundation.
