Alltheway is also set to launch an airport carousel bag pick-up and city delivery service in the near future
SITA Technology has joined forces with the innovative French start-up, Alltheway, to introduce a groundbreaking baggage service for travelers departing from Paris. This cutting-edge collaboration empowers passengers to check in and drop off their luggage directly from their homes or city center hotels, with the convenience of having it seamlessly delivered to their final destination. Moreover, Alltheway is set to launch an airport carousel bag pick-up and city delivery service in the near future.
Alltheway offers passengers and airlines the ability to track bags both on and off the airport premises. Trained Alltheway agents visit passengers at their hotels or residences, expertly weigh and secure their luggage, and perform the check-in process with the respective airline. Leveraging SITA’s Bag Journey technology, Alltheway seamlessly integrates with airline tracking systems, providing real-time baggage tracking updates at every stage of the off-airport journey. Alltheway also gains access to the baggage tracking data collected during airport handling operations, which is then relayed to passengers through the user-friendly Alltheway application, allowing them to monitor their bags in real time.
Sergio Colella, President of Europe at SITA, acknowledged the insights from SITA’s 2023 Passenger IT Insights report, which underscored passengers’ growing interest in booking intermodal trips and their desire for technology-driven enhancements in baggage handling throughout their journeys.
In addition, Alltheway’s agents utilize SITA’s Flight Data Global, a resource that supplies crucial information on customer flight check-in and departure times. This valuable data enables agents to plan optimal pick-up times and ensures that passengers’ bags arrive at the airport punctually.
As the city anticipates an influx of visitors due to the Rugby World Cup taking place in France this month and the upcoming Paris Olympics in 2024, Alltheway has formed strategic partnerships with Air France/KLM and the esteemed hospitality group Accor, extending this innovative service to their customers.
SITA’s pioneering solution reflects the growing demand among passengers for off-airport services, seamlessly bridging their air travel experiences with other modes of transportation, such as cruises or rail journeys. Drawing upon its extensive knowledge of the intricately connected aviation industry, SITA assists travel technology solution providers like Alltheway in introducing innovative off-airport services while facilitating airlines in seamlessly integrating their services with rail and cruise options.
Emilie Gazeau, CEO and Founder of Alltheway, emphasized the rising demand for off-airport baggage services, citing families with multiple bags and business travelers seeking luggage-free mobility within the city. Gazeau expressed her confidence in SITA’s ability to bridge the gap between airlines and passengers, ensuring travelers have peace of mind regarding the safe handling of their bags.
Sergio Colella, President of Europe at SITA, acknowledged the insights from SITA’s 2023 Passenger IT Insights report, which underscored passengers’ growing interest in booking intermodal trips and their desire for technology-driven enhancements in baggage handling throughout their journeys. Colella affirmed SITA’s commitment to delivering this enhanced travel experience to Alltheway’s valued customers through their cutting-edge baggage solutions.
