Bihar Finance Minister, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, extended a warm invitation to Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) during a three-day NRI Summit in Patna. Acknowledging the significant contributions of individuals from Bihar to the progress of various Indian states and countries worldwide, Chaudhary urged NRIs to actively participate in the development of their home state.
Addressing an audience that included industry leaders, experts, and professionals from the US, Australia, Sweden, Japan, Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia, Chaudhary emphasized the collaborative effort needed to propel Bihar’s growth. He encouraged attendees to engage in meaningful discussions and formulate recommendations that could contribute to the state’s advancement.

Mangla Rai, Advisor to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former DG of ICAR, highlighted Bihar’s greatest assets as its human resources and emphasized the pivotal role of knowledge and water in propelling the state forward. Despite losing its mineral-rich territory due to a division two decades ago, Rai expressed confidence in Bihar’s potential to compete with other states.
While commending the state government’s roadmap for developing dairy and food technology, Rai stressed the need for active NRI involvement. He called upon NRIs to collaborate with the government, participate in its initiatives, and establish food processing and packaging units to bolster the agriculture industry.
