Indiaspora Drives Climate Action Dialogue at COP28

Indiaspora, a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering unity within the global Indian diaspora for a more interconnected world, is set to host the Climate Action Forum at COP 28 on December 7 in Dubai.

Acknowledging climate change as the paramount challenge of our era, the Indian diaspora recognizes that distinguished experts actively contribute to environmental sustainability and climate change solutions within the Indian diaspora. India, highlighted by its pivotal role in the G20 Summit, is actively engaged in developing strategies to address these global challenges.

As part of its mission to galvanize the global Indian diaspora as a positive force and facilitate meaningful connections among diaspora leaders and influential figures in India, Indiaspora is honoured to provide a platform for diverse and constructive voices during COP 28.

The daylong Climate Action Forum by Indiaspora will feature 28 speakers from 5 countries, operating under the theme “Empower, Educate, Inspire, Act.” Esteemed speakers from government, industry, and civil society will engage in insightful panel discussions covering sustainable technology, green finance, renewable energy, and the diaspora’s role in climate advocacy. Key speakers include Dominic Waughray (World Business Council for Sustainable Development), Madhav Pai (WRI-India), BK Sister Jayanti (Faith Leader), and Vivek Oberoi (Indian Film Actor). Indiaspora’s partners in this initiative include the Council on Energy, Environment, and Water (CEEW), Dasra, India Climate Collaborative, and the Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN).
