In response to the operational limitations caused by unprecedented weather conditions in the UAE, the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi has issued a stern advisory urging Indian nationals to reschedule non-essential travel plans to Dubai. The advisory comes in the wake of disruptions at Dubai International Airport, where a significant number of flights have been cancelled or diverted due to runway flooding following heavy rains earlier this week.

Emirates, one of the major carriers operating through Dubai, has announced the suspension of check-in services for passengers with onward connections through the airport until Friday night. The airline has advised passengers to check their flight status and make necessary arrangements accordingly.
With uncertainties persisting regarding flight schedules and delays, travellers are advised to stay updated with the latest developments and adhere to advisories issued by both Indian and UAE authorities
Highlighting the gravity of the situation, the Indian Embassy emphasized that while UAE authorities are diligently working to restore normalcy, the current circumstances remain “unprecedented.” Passengers have been urged to verify their flight details directly with their respective airlines before heading to the airport.
“Inbound Indian passengers traveling to or transiting through Dubai International Airport are advised to reschedule non-essential travel till operations normalize,” the embassy stated, underscoring the importance of cautious planning amidst the ongoing disruptions.
