Sharjah-India Business Forum unveils new investment horizons for Indian enterprises
The forum thus played a crucial role in setting the stage for future business ventures and strengthened economic cooperation between Sharjah and India
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recently hosted the “Sharjah-India Business Forum,” inviting Indian firms to explore and seize investment opportunities within Sharjah’s thriving business environment. This event, held at the SCCI headquarters, highlighted Sharjah’s sophisticated infrastructure and expanding market, underscored by economic diversification and strategic investments.
The forum followed a significant visit from a delegation of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry from India, which included companies from pivotal sectors such as fintech, agriculture, healthcare, IT, infrastructure, and chemical manufacturing. The event saw participation from key SCCI officials, including Chairman Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, and representatives from various economic entities in Sharjah.
During the event, Emirati and Indian companies engaged in a series of bilateral business meetings. These interactions provided a platform for both sides to explore potential partnerships and collaborations across various economic fields, establishing new communication channels for dialogue and the exchange of insights and experiences
A primary focus of the forum was to underscore the investment potential in both Sharjah and India, aiming to enhance trade exchanges and foster robust business interactions. The discussions underscored the strong economic ties between the UAE and India, which are built on mutual goals for sustainable development and increased economic competitiveness.
This forum was part of ongoing collaborative efforts, highlighted by a recent successful trade mission from the Sharjah Chamber to India. This mission facilitated over 365 bilateral business meetings between the Sharjah delegation and more than 220 Indian companies from various sectors, emphasizing the potential for deepened economic ties.
