Indian singer Darshan Magdum has joined US-based boy band Boy Throb for his first live performance with the group in New Jersey, following months of efforts to secure a visa to enter the United States.
Magdum, 22, performed alongside his three American bandmates — Anthony Key, Evan Papier and Zachary Sobania — at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Friday. Hundreds of fans gathered to watch the group perform its latest song, “4GETHER”, according to a report cited by NDTV.
The band marked the occasion as “Darshan Day”, with all four members wearing matching pink tracksuits and yellow trainers.

Boy Throb rose to prominence through social media, gaining an audience with humorous songs, unconventional videos and dance performances. The group has reportedly attracted more than one million followers on Instagram and around 1.3 million on TikTok.
Securing a US visa for Magdum, however, proved challenging. His application for an O-1 visa, intended for individuals who can demonstrate extraordinary ability in fields including the arts, required additional evidence of his achievements.
Immigration lawyer Jonathan Grode reportedly submitted extensive supporting documents, including media coverage, industry recommendations and information about the band’s collaboration with singer Kesha.
Magdum received approval in August, securing permission to remain in the United States for three years. The decision paved the way for him to reunite with his bandmates and perform with them in person.
With the full line-up now together on stage, Boy Throb hopes to build on its growing popularity and pursue its ambition of winning a Grammy Award. Magdum’s arrival also brings an end to a prolonged visa campaign that became an integral part of the group’s story.
