Saudi Arabia grants citizenship to two Indians

This move aligns with Saudi Vision 2030

Two Indians, Dr. Shamim Ahmad Butt and Faraz Khalid, are among the first recipients of Saudi citizenship following a royal decree aimed at attracting exceptional talents. This move aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to foster an environment that attracts and retains creative minds, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Dr. Shamim Ahmad Butt, an esteemed physician and Deputy Head of the Emergency Department at King Saud Medical City in Riyadh, is renowned for his contributions to emergency medicine and is a recipient of the Zonn Perkin Gold Medal for Emergency Research.

Vision 2030 seeks to foster an environment that attracts and retains creative minds

Faraz Khalid, an accomplished entrepreneur, holds an MBA from the Wharton School and serves as the CEO of Noon. He co-founded Namshi and has significantly impacted the e-commerce landscape in the region.
