IOC convener Rajwinder Singh revealed Rahul Gandhi will visit Canada before the Canadian Federal elections and then proceed to Europe to hold meetings with NRIs
Union Budget 2024-25 has sparked disappointment among Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), particularly those affiliated with the Congress party. Concerns have been raised regarding tax policies, investment opportunities, and the broader economic environment affecting their connection and contributions to India. To address these issues, a delegation of NRIs, led by Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) convener Rajwinder Singh, met with Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in Lok Sabha.
Rajwinder Singh, who visited the Golden Temple, shared insights from his meeting with Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. He emphasized that arrangements have been made for Rahul Gandhi to meet with various NRI groups to encourage their significant contributions to India’s development across multiple sectors. He mentioned that these meetings aim to boost investments in critical areas such as infrastructure and technology. Additionally, Rahul Gandhi is set to engage with US Democrat leaders to further these objectives.
