Awarded The Order of Mubarak Al-Kabeer by Amir of Kuwait
On December 22, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored with Kuwait’s prestigious Order of Mubarak Al-Kabeer by Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait. The ceremony was also attended by the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The Prime Minister dedicated the award to the enduring friendship between India and Kuwait, the Indian community in Kuwait, and the 1.4 billion people of India
The conferment of this distinguished honor holds special significance, as it comes during Prime Minister Modi’s historic visit to Kuwait, marking the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister in 43 years. Established in 1974, the Order of Mubarak Al-Kabeer is Kuwait’s highest national award, presented to global leaders who have made significant contributions to strengthening relations with the nation.
