Indian tourists lead the list, but numbers dip slightly compared to last year, while other markets show growth
India continues to be the largest source of foreign tourists to Nepal in January, despite a 15.1% decrease in visitors from India, according to official data. Out of nearly 80,000 foreign tourists who visited Nepal, 20,485 were Indians, a drop from 24,139 in January 2024, reported timesofindia.indiatimes.com.
Tourist arrival data highlights growth from other countries, particularly China and the US
Despite the decline in Indian visitors, the tourism sector saw growth from other countries, including China and the US, reflecting broader trends in Nepal’s tourism market.
