NEW DELHI: The Government of India has appointed Y.K. Sailas Thangal (IFS: 1996), currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs, as the next Ambassador of India to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Thangal is expected to assume his new role soon
Y.K. Sailas Thangal, a senior diplomat with extensive experience in foreign affairs, will soon take charge as India’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan. His appointment reflects India’s continued commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with the Central Asian nation.
Thangal’s appointment comes at a time when both countries are seeking to deepen their engagement across multiple areas.
