The event focused on streamlining emigration, skill development, and safe migration practices
Minister of State for External Affairs and Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh inaugurated a one-day Recruiting Agents’ Conclave at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan, New Delhi, on March 11, 2025.
The event, organized by the Overseas Employment and Protector General of Emigrants (OE & PGE) Division, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), brought together recruiting agents, government officials, and key stakeholders to discuss enhancing legal and safe overseas employment opportunities.
Promoting Safe and Legal Migration
In his keynote address, MoS Kirti Vardhan Singh emphasized the crucial role of Recruiting Agents (RAs) in facilitating overseas employment and highlighted government initiatives such as skilling human resources and leveraging technology for a streamlined emigration process.

As part of the Ministry’s efforts to promote awareness about safe migration, the Minister also launched the Pravasi Bharatiya Sahayata Kendra WhatsApp Channel, aimed at disseminating critical information on legal migration practices in a user-friendly format
Strengthening the Emigration Process
The Conclave served as a platform to enhance collaboration between Recruiting Agents and the government, ensuring the effective implementation of the Emigration Act 1983 and reducing instances of illegal recruitment.
Discussions covered challenges faced on the e-Migrate portal, emerging global job opportunities, and best practices for foreign employment registration.

Additionally, a Q&A session with the Joint Secretary (OE & PGE) provided further insights on policy frameworks and upcoming reforms in the emigration sector.
