Bihar Foundation’s help in handling Covid-19 crisis praiseworthy: Dy CM Bihar

Deputy Chief Minister of Indian State of Bihar and Chairman of Bihar Foundation Tarkishore Prasad lauded the efforts of the Bihari diaspora in the welfare of the state as well as extending support in times of crisis. He made special mention of the Foundation’s help during the second wave of the Covid-19 crisis.

He said Bihar would always remember the efforts of the diaspora during the crisis and called for continuous communication and dialogue with the migrant Biharis.

Addressing a virtual meeting with Foundation chapters in India and abroad, the Deputy Chief Minister said the Foundation took many initiatives to improve the socio-economic condition of Bihar.

He assured steps to improve cargo and passenger connectivity between Bihar and Saudi Arabia and establish better communication with the migrant Biharis to resolve their issues.

He also assured state assistance to those working in the unorganised sector in Hyderabad.

He also assured the meeting participants of quick action on suggestions to address the problems of Bihari diaspora and Bihari migrant workers.

He lauded the achievements of the Bihar Foundation under the guidance of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi.

He said that every possible effort has been made for the welfare of common people under the able leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister NItish Kumar.

In the testing times of the second wave of the coronavirus, the Union and State governments made concerted efforts to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Chief Executive Officer of Bihar Foundation, Ravi Shankar Srivastava, welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister in the meeting. Then, presidents and secretaries of various chapters discussed chapter-wise achievements.

Chapters and their representatives who attended the meeting included, Professor RR Jha from Varanasi, Satyendra Kumar Singh from Bahrain, Manvendra Mishra from Hyderabad, Anand Vijay from Japan, Abhay Kumar from Mumbai, Krishna Kumar Mishra from Pune, and Obaidur Rahman from Saudi Arabia.

Officer on Special Duty Sushil Kumar was also present in the virtual meeting.
