Following UAE’s ease in travel restriction for flights from India, a large number of Non-Resident-Indians (NRIs) have started going back to UAE to resume their jobs or business deals.

Three important documents should be ready for travel: A GDRFA approval, negative RT-PCR test result taken 48 hours before departure, and a rapid PCR test result from the airport

It is pertinent, however, to take note of travel protocols before starting the journey.

1. Dubai residence visa holders can travel from India to Dubai if they have approval from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). This is besides negative Covid-19 test results.
2. After easing in travel restrictions, Resident visa holders stranded in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria, and Uganda can enter Dubai.
3. According to Emirates Airline support service, travellers must have a negative result of a PCR test taken within 48 hours of departure and a negative Rapid PCR test result taken four hours before travel.

7. Travellers can plan a journey from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai and Thiruvanthapuram. Other airports are yet to resume flight operation for UAE.
8. Only fully vaccinated individuals will be allowed to enter UAE after a minimum of 14 days has passed after the final dose.
9. Four hours before boarding a flight, the passengers must undergo a fresh Covid-19 test (rapid PCR, RT PCR, ID NOW or molecular) and a second PCR test upon arrival in Dubai. Children under the age of 12 are exempted from the vaccination and testing rules.
