15th August 1947 India got independence from British colonialism. The reins of governance came into the hands of the country’s leaders. India’s gaining independence was a tryst with destiny. The struggle for freedom was a long that witnessed the sacrifices of many freedom fighters. India remembers those sacrifices and moves ahead with new goals and challenges.
