Twin-travellers in Oman and the UAE will soon enjoy a convenient new way to experience two very different summer destinations. Starting 3 July, Oman Air will operate direct flights between Salalah and Dubai, making it easier to plan a short break or a longer holiday without the hassle of connecting flights.

Salalah, in Oman’s Dhofar Governorate, comes alive during the Khareef season. From late June to early September, the city is transformed by monsoon rains that turn the landscape green and cool.

  • Misty hills, flowing waterfalls and lush valleys attract visitors from across the Gulf and beyond

  • Temperatures are milder than in much of the region, making it an ideal escape from the summer heat

  • Visitors can enjoy scenic drives, coastal views, traditional markets and local festivals that celebrate the season

Dubai, on the other hand, offers a vibrant summer city experience. From world-class museums and cultural attractions to luxury shopping malls and sunny beaches, the city has something for every traveller. Indoor attractions, family-friendly entertainment and fine dining make Dubai a popular choice even during the hotter months. Seasonal offers and events add to its appeal, especially for short city breaks.

The new direct flights between Salalah and Dubai are designed to make travel simple and stress-free. Whether residents of Salalah are planning a shopping trip or leisure break in Dubai, or travellers from the UAE want to experience the unique Khareef season in Oman, the route offers a smooth and convenient journey.
