British Airways has introduced a new dedicated Student Travel Assistance helpdesk to support Indian students travelling to the United Kingdom for higher education. The initiative is designed to make international travel easier and less stressful, especially for first-time flyers heading to British universities.

The new service is available at five major Indian airports—Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai. Students travelling on British Airways can identify themselves at the airline’s check-in counters to receive personalised support throughout their journey. This includes guidance during check-in, help navigating busy airport terminals, and assistance upon arrival at London Heathrow’s Terminal 5.

For many young travellers, international airports can be confusing and overwhelming. British Airways aims to address this by offering clear directions, dedicated staff support and priority guidance, ensuring students feel confident and informed at every stage of their journey.

The service is provided free of charge and is part of the airline’s broader efforts to enhance the travel experience for international students

The launch of this helpdesk reflects the strong and growing educational links between India and the UK. Indian students form one of the largest international student communities in British universities, with thousands travelling each year for undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes. With this new initiative, British Airways is recognising the unique needs of student travellers and setting a new benchmark in airline customer support.
