An Indian restaurant in south Wales has been recognised as one of the best curry houses in the UK after earning a place in the prestigious Top 100 Curry Restaurants Guide 2026, reported walesonline.co.uk.

My Indian in Ammanford was selected for the national guide organised by the Asian Catering Federation. The list celebrates top Indian restaurants across the country and is based on public votes as well as recommendations from food experts.

Restaurant representatives attended an awards ceremony at the House of Lords earlier this week, where they said they were “incredibly honoured” to be included in the guide.

In a message shared on social media, the team thanked customers for their continued support and positive reviews. They said the recognition would not have been possible without the loyalty of diners in the local community.

The restaurant has built a strong reputation online, with ratings of 4.7 stars on Google and 4.6 on Tripadvisor. Many customers praised both the quality of the food and the friendly service.

One reviewer described the restaurant as the “best Indian restaurant in south Wales”, while another highlighted the welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff on a busy evening.

A Tripadvisor reviewer also praised the restaurant’s organisation and the quality of its ingredients, calling the food “exceptional”.

Chairman of the Asian Catering Federation, Yawar Khan, congratulated all restaurants featured in the guide and praised the industry for continuing to thrive despite rising costs, staff shortages and tougher immigration rules.
