Birds going from one country to another after flying thousands of kilometers will now have the same welcome all over the world as the guests who come back home. In the last few years many species of migratory birds have been destroyed and many are in endangered status due to the manipulation and hunting of their habitats around the world. India has now launched a global campaign to save them. Starting with the countries of the Central Asian flyway, the campaign will be expanded to other countries as well, Dainik Jagran reported.

India is leading the conservation of migratory birds around the world. It has prepared a plan to protect their habitats in the countries coming under the fly-way of migratory birds. As part of the campaign, no country will tamper with their bases. Also, it will be made eco-friendly and full care will be taken for their facilities of food and drink.

Every year a large number of birds come from many remote areas including Siberia, flying thousands of kilometers to India. They return after spending some time in India. Their presence is found in many parts of India

“Threatened species of migratory birds will also be monitored in this entire campaign. The countries concerned will also share the information about the movement of these birds with each other,” the report said.

The report cited the Indian Ministry of Forest and Environment, which is currently leading the ‘Conference of Parties for the conservation of migratory birds’ to taking this campaign forward around the world.
