Till January 31, Indian carriers waive off rescheduling fees

Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet, and AirAsia India have said that domestic air passengers who had booked tickets but cannot travel due to the third wave of Covid-19 in the country can reschedule their tickets for free. This will be valid for all new and existing bookings made up to January 31, 2022 for travel up to March 31, 2022.

SpiceJet has announced its Free Date Change Offer, where it is offering a one-time waiver on the change fee on all international and domestic flight tickets booked with SpiceJet. There is, however, a condition: the request for date change must be made at least 48 hours prior to the flight departure or else a normal change fee will apply.

One Free Change willbe applicable to all confirmed tickets with a travel period till March 31, 2022, where Change is defined as a change in date or flight number, or sector. In case passengers decide to change sector only, re-issuance charges will be waived once but other charges will apply

Low-cost carrier AirAsia India has extended its rescheduling offer and announced free rescheduling for all flights on their network for bookings made till January 31, 2022, for travel until March 31, 2022.

National carrier Air India has also made a similar announcement. It tweeted that it would allow One Free Change on all domestic flight bookings. One Free Change willbe applicable to all confirmed tickets with a travel period till March 31, 2022, where Change is defined as a change in date or flight number, or sector. In case passengers decide to change sector only, re-issuance charges will be waived once but other charges will apply.
