Air India will inject more flights to Chicago

The new schedule of this flight will be valid till March 23, 2022

Fliers can now book tickets for Air India flights between India and US till October 29, 2022.

With US reopening its borders for international travellers on November 8, Air India announced an increase in the frequency of flights between New Delhi and Chicago from 6 days a week to 7 days a week, effective November 3. The new schedule of this flight will be valid till March 23, 2022.

Air India also announced that passengers could book tickets for Air India flights between India and the US till October 29, 2022. Bookings were open through the Air India website, booking offices, call centre and authorised travel agents.

Travellers will be required to show a proof of vaccination before boarding a flight to the US and proof of a recent negative Covid-19 test. For foreign visitors entering the US at a land border, only proof of vaccination will be required

Apart from the Chicago flights, Air India currently operates non-stop flights to Washington DC and San Francisco under the air bubble agreement signed between both countries. Air India has been operating 21 flights per week to the US, with the maximum increase in New York (JFK and Newark) flights followed by Chicago and San Francisco.

Travellers will be required to show a proof of vaccination before boarding a flight to the US and proof of a recent negative Covid-19 test. For foreign visitors entering the US at a land border, only proof of vaccination will be required.
