The Amazing Goa Global Business Summit 2024 concluded successfully on November 10, marking a dynamic three-day event that gathered 150 international delegations at the Shyama Prasad Stadium in Goa. Organized by the Vibrant Goa Foundation in collaboration with the Government of Goa, the summit offered a robust platform to connect local MSMEs, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders with global markets, unlocking significant business potential for the state.

Union Minister  Piyush Goyal and Goa’s Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant, inaugurated the event, joined by key figures from the Vibrant Goa Foundation, including Chairman  Rajkumar Kamat and Summit Chairman  Vinay Verma. Their presence underscored the summit’s objective to propel Goa as a gateway for international trade, investment, and sustainable development.

The first day opened with a vibrant showcase of Goa’s entrepreneurial energy through the Amazing Goa Business Expo. Local businesses highlighted their products and innovations, fostering meaningful networking and collaboration. In parallel, the Goa MSME Adhiveshan 2.0 focused on financing and innovation for MSMEs, aiming to strengthen this sector’s critical role in Goa’s economy.

The summit continued into its second day with the Future Tech Summit and Ventura for student entrepreneurship. Day 3 focused on opportunities with Australia, culminating in a grand closing ceremony celebrating the summit’s accomplishments

One of the summit’s main features was the B2B matchmaking between Goan MSMEs and international delegates, supported by the Central Government’s RAMP program. Through more than 400 scheduled meetings, business owners explored partnerships across diverse sectors.  Piyush Goyal emphasized Goa’s role as a strategic business and tourism hub, remarking, “This summit is a powerful catalyst, driving economic growth and expanding India’s export footprint. Goa’s skilled workforce and aspirational population make it an ideal partner for global business.”

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant outlined his vision to transform Goa into a leader in renewable energy and sustainable industries, aligned with India’s Atma Nirbhar Bharat goals. “Our policies support green energy projects, and we invite investors to join us in building a sustainable future for Goa,” he stated, signaling the state’s openness to investment in clean energy sectors.

Chairman of Vibrant Goa Foundation, Rajkumar Kamat, stressed the summit’s mission to elevate Goan MSMEs and local artisans by connecting them with global networks.  Vinay Verma echoed this sentiment, highlighting the summit as a springboard for Goa’s businesses to scale internationally.

Throughout the day, sector-focused sessions addressed current challenges in health, IT, AI, and cybersecurity. A legal seminar offered practical advice on navigating business regulations, while another session emphasized the importance of tech-based skills in education. Entrepreneurship sessions provided budding entrepreneurs and investors with insights into launching and scaling startups.
