The 15th Annual General Body Meeting of the Karnataka NRI Forum, Jeddah, took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on December 15, 2023. This forum, dedicated to the well-being and advancement of non-resident Indians from Karnataka residing in Jeddah, showcased a commitment to fostering community bonds and preserving cultural ties.

Raza Ali Khan, Country Manager of Air India and Air India Express for the Western Province, Saudi Arabia, graced the occasion as the guest of honour. In his address, he commended the forum members for their outstanding efforts in promoting the welfare of Kannadigas. Khan underscored the significance of their work in unifying the community, preserving cultural heritage, and extending support to the NRI populace.

A noteworthy highlight of the meeting was the acknowledgment of the KNRI Forum’s initiative in approaching Air India to explore the possibility of establishing direct passenger flight services from Jeddah to Mangaluru. Mr. Khan expressed his assurance that Air India’s management would prioritize and consider the forum’s request. This development holds promise for enhancing connectivity and facilitating easier travel for the NRI community between Jeddah and Mangaluru.
