AoL volunteers take part in beach and canal (wadi) cleaning drive

As part of the organization’s responsibility towards the country of operation, the AoL promotes and participates in various service initiatives for a healthy and happy community in the Sultanate of Oman. The AoL has similar engagements in other countries

The Oman chapter of Art of Living (AoL) organized a beach cleaning campaign in association with the Muscat Municipality. The campaign was part of the AoL’s continuous engagement with the community and society.

“AoL continuously organizes beach cleaning campaigns, blood donation camps etc. Recent was cleaning of the beach at Shatti Al Qurum on Jan 22, 2022 supported by the Muscat Municipality in which a large number of the AoL and other service teams of Oman,” said Gopi Das an active member of Art of Living.

“A stronger community needs a healthy body and stress free mind. With this motto the AoL has been working in Oman since two decades engaging with people imparting lessons in physical exercises and breathing techniques to help people to be fit and stress free,” he said.

The organization has its presence globally in over 156 countries helping people come out of stress through stress management workshops and promoting peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women,  rehabilitation programmes education for all, and environmental sustainability

Recently, the AoL also participated in cleaning of Wadi at Samail in the wilayat of  Samail on January 29. The Muscat Hiking Team invited the AoL to take part in the cleaning operation on behalf of Muhammad Khamis al Husseini, Member of the Shura Council, representative of the Wilayat of Samail at the valley of Samail.

The purpose of the cleaning campaign was to clear the Wadi (canal) of debris collected in the wadi due to recent rains.

The Art of Living was Founded in 1981 by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, The organization has its presence globally in over 156 countries helping people come out of stress through stress management workshops and promoting peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women,  rehabilitation programmes education for all, and environmental sustainability.
