Bhutan’s Drukair restarts international flights from Bagdogra

The operations have come after a gap of nearly two years – Drukair had suspended flights due to the Covid-19 pandemic

Drukair, the Bhutan-based carrier, has restarted scheduled flight services between Paro and Bangkok via Bagdogra in West Bengal, according to Drukair Senior Executive (Reservation) Nilanjana Sen. The operations have come after a gap of nearly two years – Drukair had suspended flights due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a PTI report stated.

  • Twice weekly flights between Paro and Bangkok

  • It has a stopover at Bagdogra.

  • Flight from Paro reaches Bagdogra at 11.50 am and departs for Bangkok at 12.40 pm

  • Return flight from Bangkok arrives at Bagdogra at 8.40 am and takes off for Paro at 9.30 am every Tuesday

The flights on the Paro-Bagdogra-Bangkok sector started on July 4. An Airports Authority of India official was quoted saying that with the Drukair flight, Bagdogra airport has started handling international flights.

The carrier’s twice weekly flights between Paro and Bangkok has a stopover at Bagdogra. The flight from Paro reaches Bagdogra at 11.50 am and departs for Bangkok at 12.40 pm, while the return flight from Bangkok arrives at Bagdogra at 8.40 am and takes off for Paro at 9.30 am every Tuesday.
