British Indian, 80, killed in Leicester; five minors arrested for murder

An 80-year-old British Indian man, Bhim Sen Kohli, was tragically killed in Leicester after being attacked by a group of minors while walking his dog in Franklin Park, Braunstone Town. The assault occurred around 6:30 pm on Sunday. Kohli, originally from Punjab, succumbed to his injuries on Monday night at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Leicestershire Police have arrested five children in connection with the murder. The suspects include a 14-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, and three others, aged 12. Kohli’s daughter revealed that her father was violently pushed to the ground and kicked by the group, leading to his fatal injuries.

Leicestershire Police have announced plans to refer the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, ensuring transparency in the investigation
