Canada has deported four more Indian nationals as part of an ongoing crackdown on foreign nationals linked to organised crime, taking the total number of removals under the enforcement drive to 111.

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) identified the latest deportees as Palwinder Singh, Jasmer Singh, Amitoz Bajwa and Sahibjot Singh. All four were found inadmissible under Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act on grounds related to serious or organised criminality.

According to the agency, Palwinder Singh was linked to an extortion-related shooting in 2025 and identified as a member of a criminal organisation. Amitoz Bajwa was linked to firearms offences and an extortion-related shooting.

Jasmer Singh had been convicted of forcible confinement, while Sahibjot Singh admitted associating with an organisation involved in a pattern of criminal activity, the CBSA said.

The four men were found inadmissible following proceedings before Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board and were subsequently removed from the country.

  • The latest action forms part of a wider operation targeting alleged criminal networks involved in extortion, shootings and other offences affecting South Asian communities

  • The campaign has focused particularly on cases involving young Indian nationals, including men of Punjabi origin

As of September 3, the CBSA had issued 188 removal orders across Canada. The Pacific region, which includes British Columbia and the Lower Mainland, accounted for 91 orders and 58 removals. The Prairies recorded 47 orders and 30 removals, while the Greater Toronto Area reported 50 orders and 23 removals.

The enforcement drive has expanded since 2025, with Canadian authorities reporting a steady rise in investigations and removals.

The operation is being carried out by the CBSA in coordination with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, provincial and municipal police forces, and immigration authorities.
