Panic gripped Moranwali village in Punjab this morning after the bodies of a Canadian NRI and a woman who looked after his house were discovered. Preliminary observations suggest both were murdered with sharp-edged weapons, and the foul smell indicates the killings may have occurred several days ago. The deceased have been identified as 65-year-old Santokh Singh, who had returned from Canada three months ago, and 50-year-old Manjit Kaur, his long-time caretaker, reported tribuneindia.com.

Manjit’s daughters reportedly found the bodies after climbing the wall into the locked house, creating fear and shock across the village

Police officials, including Dr Mukesh Kumar, SP (D), Jaspreet Singh, DSP Garhshankar, and SHO Gagandeep Singh Sekhon, along with a team of officers, reached the scene and began preliminary investigations. The motive behind the killings remains under investigation, and authorities are examining the area for further evidence to solve the case.
