Festive season has already started in India and many Indians settled abroad are planning to visit their near and dear ones back home, because it is more than two years for many who haven’t gone out of their countries where they are working. All due to travel restrictions imposed by the respective government to keep the spread of Covid-19 pandemic virus under control.
Now the restrictions are getting relaxed globally. This is sending right signal for the diaspora to visit India.
The Indian authorities, however, are taking all possible precautions to contain the disease and create awareness among the residents and visitors about the disease.

“We should keep in mind that the pandemic is far from over. We should take all possible precautions,” said a senior official in the Indian Ministry of Health.

According to an IANS report, Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health, stressed the need to create awareness about the importance of following Covid appropriate behaviour during the upcoming festival season.
Commenting on awareness and importance of media he said, India had successfully controlled Covid-19 cases in record time by ramping up its test-track-treat and vaccination strategy.
“The massive vaccination needs to be complemented with Covid-appropriate protocols during the festive season.” He said.
