Securing a spot in the land of the free isn’t a straightforward journey for everyone. As reported by m9.news, individuals from around the globe endure years of hopeful waiting, seeking sponsors for employment in the United States. The legal avenues to America often fail to offer the promised freedom and opportunity, leaving many in pursuit of alternative, albeit risky, paths.

The burning question remains: How great a risk are people willing to take, and what is the price they are prepared to pay to step onto U.S. soil at any cost? For those embarking on the perilous “donkey” flight to Mexico, the answer is staggering – millions of rupees. An investigative report by the CID uncovered that agents extracted Rs 60-70 lakhs from desperate individuals, facilitating their illegal entry into the USA through Mexico.

  • The astronomical amounts of money spent by these individuals raise eyebrows

  • The same funds could have provided them with the means to start anew in India, underscoring the desperation that propels people to pursue risky and illegal avenues for a shot at the elusive American dream

The shocking revelation comes from 66 passengers who confessed to handing over hefty sums to these agents, all in a bid to realize their American dream.

The intricate journey involved a flight from Dubai to Nicaragua, and from there, the agents planned to transport them to Mexico.

Nicaragua’s lax visa regulations make it a hotspot for human traffickers and smugglers conducting their illicit operations.

The astronomical amounts of money spent by these individuals raise eyebrows. The same funds could have provided them with the means to start anew in India, underscoring the desperation that propels people to pursue risky and illegal avenues for a shot at the elusive American dream.
