The new feature gives eligible creators and publishers a dedicated Google presence combining articles, social posts and links, with Brazil set to follow
Google has expanded its Search Profiles feature to India and Canada, giving eligible creators and publishers a new way to bring their digital content together on Google Search and Discover. Brazil is expected to be added soon.
The expansion, announced by Google Search vice-president Robby Stein on October 6, comes four months after Search Profiles were first launched in the United States. The feature provides a dedicated, shareable page where creators and publishers can display their latest articles, videos, social media posts and website links.
Users can follow a profile, potentially increasing the chances of seeing content from that creator or publisher in Google Discover. Google, however, says creating a Search Profile does not directly affect a website or creator’s ranking in Google Search.

Google’s current eligibility requirements include at least 10,000 followers or subscribers on one of four supported platforms — YouTube, Instagram, X or TikTok. Users must also be at least 18 years old and comply with Google’s content policies
The expansion follows several changes to Search Profiles in recent months. In September, Google lowered the follower threshold from its earlier levels to 10,000 and introduced support for managing multiple brands or identities from a single Google account. It also improved how article thumbnails and headlines are displayed.
Eligible users in India and Canada can claim a profile through Google’s Search Profile service. Google said Brazil will be the next country to receive access, although no specific launch date has been announced.
