The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has sent out a request to the central government to bring in the One Nation, One Travel Policy for international travellers. The foreign travellers have been at the receiving end of the changing travel guidelines issued by the state governments. IATO, in a statement, pointed out that the confusion would end when one central policy is implemented. It will have to be followed by all state governments and would be the ideal solution.

IATO’s request to the government for the One Nation, One Travel Policy comes at a time when the tourism sector is trying to get back on its feet after having suffered during the pandemic

Foreign travellers and tourists perceive India as a single destination and follow the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW). But their problems start when they have to face multiple state-level policies. This, obviously, is a dampener for international tourists.
