New ambassadors appointed in UAE, Russia, Spain, Brunei Darussalam and Dominican Republic
India on Monday appointed new ambassadors to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Russia, and Spain, a press release from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said.
Sunjay Sudhir appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the United Arab Emirates. Sunjay Sudhir is an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) 1993 batch.
Pavan Kapoor (IFS: 1990) has been appointed next Ambassador of India to the Russian Federation.
Dinesh K Patnaik, presently Director General, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Spain.
Earlier on October 29, Alok Amitabh Dimri was appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to Brunei Darussalam. Dimri (IFS: 1998), is presently Ambassador of India to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Dominican Republic also got a new Indian ambassador. Ramu Abbagani appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Dominican Republic. Presently he is Joint Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs.
All are expected to take up the new assignments shortly, the Ministry of External Affairs said.
