India appoints new ambassadors to Maldives, Oman

India on Wednesday appointed new ambassadors to Maldives and Oman. Munu Mahawar, who is presently Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, has been appointed as the next High Commissioner of India to the Republic of Maldives

Amit Narang has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman. He is currently serving as a Joint Secretary in the Indian Ministry of External Affairs.

Both are expected to take up the new assignment shortly, a statement from the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said.
