India and France strengthen cooperation on global security and arms control
India-France Bilateral Dialogue on Disarmament and Non-Proliferation took place on February 14, 2025, in Paris, France. The discussions focused on key developments in disarmament and non-proliferation across nuclear, chemical, and biological domains, as well as outer space security, conventional weapons, artificial intelligence in the military domain, and Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems Multilateral export control regimes were also a central topic of engagement.

The Indian delegation was led by Muanpuii Saiawi, Joint Secretary (Disarmament and International Security Affairs), Ministry of External Affairs, while the French delegation was headed by Guillaume Ollagnier, Director for Strategic Affairs, Security and Disarmament, Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs Both sides exchanged views on advancing global arms control mechanisms and enhancing collaboration in strategic security frameworks.
