International charter flights bring in a huge number of foreign tourists to Goa. Some time ago, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had requested the Union Home Affairs Ministry to grant permissions to international charter flights at the earliest

India will be ready to welcome international tourists by October 15. Union Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik said in Goa on the sidelines of a Gandhi Jayanti programme that an announcement would be made by the Central government soon.

The minister said: “As corona decreases, we will start national and international tourism. The announcement will be made soon and there is a possibility of it beginning after October 15.”
