Authorities continue investigating the cause of the gas cylinder blast that left one dead and five injured on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The Consulate General of India in Dubai has confirmed the identity of the Indian national who died following a gas cylinder explosion at a car showroom on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, as authorities continue to investigate the incident.
The victim was identified as Shijin Paul, a 27-year-old expatriate from Kerala’s Kollam district. According to the Indian Consulate, Paul had been working at the showroom for around eight months before the explosion. He suffered critical injuries in the blast and later died in hospital despite receiving medical treatment.

The explosion occurred at a car showroom on Sheikh Zayed Road after a gas cylinder reportedly exploded. Five other people sustained injuries in the blast and were taken to hospital for treatment.
Officials said emergency response operations were completed shortly after the incident, and the affected premises were handed over for further technical examination. Investigators are working to establish the exact cause of the explosion, and no official findings have yet been released.
