Both India and Greece maintain high-level diplomatic exchanges. This substantiates in the high level visits of the presidents of both the countries to Greece and India respectively. In 2007 the then President of India visited Greece, while the Greek Prime Minister came here in 2008 and the Greek PM Papandreu visited India in 2010 for the Delhi Sustainable Development Summit. In the year 2017, the Foreign Minister of Greece visited India. Both countries are fully committed to democracy, law and pluralism.

“Our bilateral trade is around $530 million. Some of the Indian companies have their presence in Greece in the infrastructure sector, pharma and steel. India has 10 Greece companies in sectors such as IT and construction,” the MEA source said.
