Jennifer Murray recounts blood-soaked horror as Indian national is stabbed, stripped, and left on the road
A disturbing hate crime in Dublin has shocked the Irish-Indian community after an Indian man was violently assaulted by a group of teenagers and adults while on his way to a temple. The incident, which occurred around 6 pm on Saturday at Parkhill Lawns in the Kilnamanagh area of Tallaght, left the victim severely injured, naked, and abandoned on the street, reported gujaratsamachar.com.
The brutal attack came to light after a local woman, Jennifer Murray, shared a now-viral video on Facebook detailing how she found the man “dripping in blood from head to toe.” According to her account, she was driving past a roundabout when she spotted a commotion involving nearly 30 teenagers and a few adults. When she stopped to intervene, the man, visibly wounded and pleading for help, told her he had been stabbed in the face multiple times.
The Indian man was beaten, stabbed, stripped of his clothes and belongings, and left bleeding in a shocking attack while walking to a temple in Dublin
Murray immediately called for an ambulance and police. Despite the urgency, she said it took an hour for emergency services to arrive, all while the man bled profusely from head wounds. The attackers, allegedly aged 15 to 16, stole his wallet, phone, shoes, and clothes — leaving him completely exposed and severely injured.
The man told Murray that he had come to Ireland to work for Amazon, having graduated from one of India’s top institutions. He lives with an Indian family in Dublin and is waiting for his wife and 11-month-old baby to receive their visas to join him. The host family later confirmed he is “kind and gentle.”
Murray also expressed concern that this was not an isolated case, claiming that four Indian men and another individual had also been facially stabbed by the same gang in the past few days. The Indian victim has since undergone a brain scan and remains traumatised by the attack.
Calling for justice, Murray said, “They could have killed him,” and urged the authorities to act swiftly.
