ICE reinforces zero-tolerance policy for foreign nationals with repeated criminal records
In a firm move to bolster public safety, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has reiterated its commitment to arresting and deporting foreign nationals who repeatedly violate American laws. The agency warned that individuals with extensive criminal histories will be prioritized for removal, reported gujaratsamachar.com.
Highlighting the urgency for federal intervention, ICE stated that many repeat offenders are released swiftly after local arrests, enabling them to continue unlawful activities. To curb this pattern, the agency is ramping up joint operations with local law enforcement.
Manjot Singh, 25, an Indian national with multiple arrests for theft and DUI, has been taken into ICE custody for deportation
In a recent operation in Seattle, ICE officers arrested 25-year-old Manjot Singh, an Indian citizen with a long rap sheet. His offenses include robbery, theft, criminal impersonation, and driving under the influence (DUI). Despite six prior arrests, Singh had consistently evaded serious consequences due to local judicial procedures. He is now being held by ICE and will remain in custody pending removal proceedings.
ICE made it clear that foreign nationals engaging in repeated criminal behavior will face severe repercussions, including deportation, to ensure the safety of communities across the US.
