Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau on his victory in the elections.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;
“Congratulations Prime Minister @JustinTrudeau on your victory in the elections! I look forward to continue working with you to further strengthen India-Canada relations, as well as our cooperation on global and multilateral issues.”
This is Trudeau’s third election victory.
“There are still votes to be counted but what we’ve seen tonight is millions of Canadians have chosen a progressive plan,” BBC quoted Trudeau’s statement to supporters in Montreal in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
