The Indian State of Kerala has come out with new plans to continue delivery of education on online mode. As a first step it has come out with a new digital app for online studies.

“Live classes are being launched by creating a new application that helps students to interact with teachers directly,” he said. With this, students and teachers would be able to see and interact with each other, the minister added.
The basic provisions for having a smooth online education the government is looking into all possible arrangements like proper internet connectivity, digital devices for all students in the state irrespective of their financial and geographical barriers etc.
Since every student does not have access to free internet, but everyone of them need to have online classes the government also considering ways to provide Internet accessibility either free or on subsidized rates.
He was responding to Assembly members’ concern over the ‘digital divide’ that may affect the quality of education among students in the southern state.
